We had the opportunity to share how we bring Grasshopper to the web with the Rhino community.
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 3:00 PM CEST, we were invited to present at a Rhino User Webinar organized by McNeel Europe, where Modelup co-founders Emil Poulsen and Lucas Wiener demonstrated how our platform turns Grasshopper scripts into interactive, browser-based tools - all powered by Rhino Compute.
You can find the original announcement on the Rhino blog.
About the Webinar
The session focused on how Rhino Compute and Grasshopper can be used to build high-performance 3D web apps. Emil walked through the underlying technology and gave a live demo of a working 3D configurator - powered entirely by a Grasshopper definition running in the cloud.
Key topics included:
- What Rhino Compute is, and how it works behind the scenes
- How we use Grasshopper definitions to drive user-facing configurators
- A live walkthrough of our platform in action
- Tips and insights for architects, engineers, and developers working with web-based parametrics
Whether you’re looking to build product configurators, proposal tools, or internal design workflows - this session is a great starting point.

Thanks for Joining Us
We had a great time connecting with the community and sharing what we’ve been working on. Huge thanks to McNeel Europe for the invite - and to everyone who tuned in live, asked questions, or followed up afterward.
More things are brewing in the Modelup lab - so stay tuned. If you’re curious about our platform or want to bring your own Grasshopper definition online, feel free to reach out. We’d love to hear from you!
