With over 30 years in the industry, Halle is a leading manufacturer of glass and aluminum systems. Their product range spans from custom patio enclosures to individual sliding doors.
Halle wanted to give their customers the ability to design and visualize a patio enclosure before requesting a quote. Manual quoting was time-consuming and error-prone, and it was hard for customers to understand how different choices affected price and appearance.
Together with Halle, Modelup built a 3D configurator that lets customers design their enclosure directly on their website — with real-time pricing, automatic quote documents, and production drawings for Halle’s own fabrication process.

The configurator is tightly integrated into Halle’s sales system and handles everything from visualization to production documents. Below are the key features.
Dynamic 3D configuration
Every choice generates new 3D geometry — more than simply showing or hiding predefined parts. This allows the customer to freely combine, e.g.:

Pricing
The configurator is integrated on Halle’s website and pulls live prices directly from their PIM system. A separate logged-in mode lets resellers view their own pricing terms.

Quote and building permit drawings
When the customer is happy with their design, they enter their contact details and click “Request quote”. Quote documents and building permit drawings are generated automatically from the customer’s design — a flow that saves manual effort for both customer and sales team.

Production drawings
Halle manufactures the glulam frame structure in-house. Based on the customer’s design, the configurator generates drawings and production documents, so the workshop can go straight from order to production without any manual intervention from a CAD technician.
